Candle Care

First Burn

Always create a wax pool during the first burn. This is to prevent creation of a memory ring which may lead to tunneling. This causes uneven burn and wax wastage at the sides of the candle.

Maximum Burn Time

It is recommended to extinguish the candle after burning for 4 hours and allow the candle to cool for 2 hours before relighting.

Putting out the Candle

Blowing out the candle is not recommended as the wick may continue to glow and emit smoke. Try putting out the candle using a proper candle sniffle or cover the candle with the lid.

Trimming the Wick

Trim the wick to 3mm before each burn. You should extinguish the flame and trim the wick when the candle is cool to room temperature.

Storing your Candle / Wax Melt

It should be stored in a cool, dark place and away from the direct sun. Keeping it in a dark place like the cupboard or box will prevent it from fading and discolouration.

Follow the Half Inch Rule

Discontinue use of candle when ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom of the jar. This will help prevent possible heat damage to the counter top / surface or the container itself.
